Parents often wonder how long their child will need to be in a social skills program before they start to see results. The answer is child-specific and it depends on how motivated they are to make friends and if they are aware that this is an area that needs attention. Kids who are self aware and motivated will begin to benefit from our program quickly. Other kids might have a barrier that is holding them back. We can oftentimes break down barriers and kids will become “unlocked”, which is amazing! Others, though, can be strong deflectors (very rare due to our screening process) and when that happens, we will likely recommend a more therapeutic program.
