Check this page for upcoming social events, workshops, and celebrations. Some events are open to new families, while others are special events for children and teens currently enrolled in our weekly groups. You’ll find who can attend right under each event.
Your child or teen may really want friends but not know how to get from being classmates with someone to actually becoming friends.
In From Classmates to Friends, we'll talk about how friendships develop and practice the small steps that help move a relationship forward, including how to approach someone, start or join a conversation, add to what's already being talked about, find things in common, tell whether someone is receptive, turn one good interaction into another, move from talking to someone to actually doing something together, follow up, and understand that friendships build over time.
Participants will have opportunities to practice these skills with other kids or teens in real time.
This event is open to the public.
Play air hockey, foosball, or ping-pong, join a board game, draw, do crafts, or spend time talking with other teens. They can choose what interests them and enjoy the evening at their own pace.
There is no lesson or social coaching at this event. It’s simply a chance to hang out with peers.
Participants must be able to stay safe in a group setting and take part without one-on-one support.

Join us for a Halloween night filled with costumes, snacks, and games! We plan a new game or activity about every 10 minutes, giving teens plenty of opportunities to join in, laugh together, and enjoy the evening with peers. It’s a fun way to celebrate Halloween with familiar faces from Simply Social Kids.

Join us for a fun, casual evening of games and conversation with other parents of young adults. Get to know one another, share some laughs, and enjoy a night out together. You’re welcome to bring your young adult along or come on your own. Whether you love games or are simply coming for the company, we’d love to have you join us!

Everyone is awesome at something, and Awesome Night is a chance to share it! Our art and talent show welcomes enrolled participants to display something they’ve created or demonstrate a talent, skill, or interest. Whether they love drawing, music, performing, or something entirely different, they can show us what they’re proud of while we celebrate one another’s interests and abilities. The evening ends with a dance party! Parents, siblings, grandparents, aunts and uncles - all are welcome to attend this amazing night of talent!

Our holiday mashup brings Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Hanukkah together for an evening of celebration at Simply Social Kids. Participants can enjoy games, activities, and time with peers as we celebrate the season together before winter break. It’s a chance to have fun with familiar faces and make some new holiday memories. Ugly sweaters are encouraged!
Bring a gender-neutral gift valued at $20 or less for our gift swap. Snacks will be served, so please let us know about any allergies.
